Ray Sheppard won a tiebreaking fan vote against Jay Bouwmeester with 62% of the vote. Honored earlier this year during a Legacy Saturday, Sheppard was a major part of the 1996 run scoring 8 goals and 8 assists in 21 games. Sheppard scored a goal in the finals that brought down an iconic shower of rats. Sheppard was solid throughout his career, putting up 93 points in 1993-94. However for some reason, Sheppard is not a hockey hall of famer. However his Panther stats and 1996 run status deserve him a spot and he definitely deserved to be on this list.
