According to Cats on the Prowl,  when the Portland Pirates relocate they will no longer be an affiliate to the Florida Panthers. Now the Cats must find a new AHL affiliate. They don’t have an ECHL affiliate so they were forced at the start of the year to use the Manchester Monarchs.
