Round 1 Pick 15
Position: Left Wing
TSN Rank: 15 NHL Central Scouting Rank: 7 (European Skaters)
Home Country: Russia
2017-18 Stats: Loko Yaroslavl (MHL) 31 GP 9-13-22

He is a high skilled forward who is very good with the puck. He is a very smart player too and many have said he is one of the most skilled forwards of the 2018 draft class. Despite only being 5 feet 10, many have said the sky is the limit for him. He also can cross the line at times too.

Serron Noel

Round 2 Pick 34
Position: Right Wing
TSN Rank: 19 NHL Central Scouting Rank: `10 (NA Skaters)
Home Country: Canada
2017-18 Stats: Oshawa (OHL) 62 GP 28-25-53

The son of former CFL running back Darren Noel, Serron is massive in stature at 6 feet 5 inches and 209 pounds. The power forward was interviewed by 28 out of 31 teams prior to the draft. He is a good skater who can score despite not scoring a lot next year.

Logan Hutsko

Round 3 Pick 89
Position: Center/Right Wing
TSN Rank: 92 NHL CS: 66 (NA Skaters)
Home Country: USA
2017-18 Stats: Boston College (NCAA) 37 GP 12-19-31

The Panthers traded up to get Tampa native Logan Hutsko. Hutkso has an interesting story. The 19 year old who won the Hockey East Rookie of the Year has faced a lot of obstacles. Injuries have plagued him with a neck/spinal fracture and a broken kneecap. Yet he has continued to play.

Justin Schutz

2017-18 Stats: RB Hockey Akadeime (Czech U18) 40 GP 24-38-62

I couldn’t find a detailed scouting report on him but I’ve heard that he is a skilled forward.

A very interesting story in the draft was that Cole’s twin brother Christian was selected a few picks before him by the Islanders.

Santtu Kinnuen
