The Ageless Jaromir Jagr declined in stats last year. However, he was without normal linemates Jonathan Huberdeau and Aleksander Barkov for most of the year. That trio is magical and they can be the best top line in the NHL when fully healthy. Jagr is a UFA this offseason and there is a lot of debate on whether to bring the 45 year old back. For one thing, he takes a lot of penalties and he turns the puck over a lot. But, that Huberdeau-Barkov-Jagr trio was phenomenal when healthy and as the Panthers learned the hard way this year, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I think we should hold on to him for another year but put some different guys with Huberdeau and Barkov from time to time to get a long term winger for that top line. Also, it is really fun to write about all the records he breaks.
