Is Jonathan Huberdeau key to getting the Panthers offense jumpstarted?

The Panthers 2016-17 campaign has been mediocre at best so far. The Panthers also have a big loss up front with Jonathan Huberdeau injured. Huberdeau who severed his Achilles tendon in a preseason game was the left wing on the Panthers top line with Aleksander Barkov and Jaromir Jagr, which formed one of the most dominant lines in the NHL. Huberdeau won the Calder trophy for rookie of the year in 2012-13. I will be going over years of games without Huberdeau and compare our offensive statistics.

2012-13: 48 GP, 14 G, 17 A, 31 PTS   (NO GAMES MISSED)   (15-27-6 with Huberdeau in the lineup; 112 Goals For)

2013-14: 69 GP, 9 G, 19 A, 28 PTS  (13 GAMES MISSED)   (24-37-8 with Huberdeau in the lineup; 172 Goals For)

2014-15: 79 GP, 15 G, 39 A, 54 PTS  (3 GAMES MISSED)  (37-28-14 with Huberdeau in the lineup; 202 Goals For)

2015-16: 76 GP, 20 G, 39 A, 59 PTS (6 GAMES MISSED) (45-23-8 with Huberdeau in the lineup; 226 Goals For)

However, Huberdeau’s linemates miss him bad. This loss shouldn’t factor in much to the team’s performance based on historical data but it is a new year but no excuses.
