Tons of Former Panther forwards still left in Free Agency

I looked at the Free Agency list today and decided to do an article on Free Agents that were former Panthers who are left in Free Agency. These players have just become free agents at the end of 2015-16 (so no Stephen Weiss on this list) but they have been with the Cats at one point or another.

Jiri Hudler (Was a Panther from March 2016-July 2016)- After a career 2014-15 with Calgary he struggled in 2015-16 and was shipped here at the trade deadline where he continued to struggle. There are rumors that say that New Jersey and Vancouver are interested in him.

Kris Versteeg (2011-November 2013)- Versteeg was my favorite player in the 2011-12 season. He was traded to Chicago due to many concerns including his attitude in November of 2013. He was then traded to the Hurricanes at the start of the season and then to the Kings at the trade deadline. A Twitter rumor emerged that Versteeg is leaving to play in Europe.

Brandon Pirri (November 2013- March 2016)- After a injury plagued career 2014-15 with 22 goals and 2 assists in 48 games, Pirri wasn’t so hot in 2015-16. He was scratched for a few games came back did well for like two games and then struggled before being injured on a weird play aganist Nashville which was his last game as a Panther before being traded for a 6th rounder at the deadline. I think he did well in Anaheim but suffered another injury and didn’t come back. Pirri is rumored to go to either Montreal, Winnipeg or Buffalo.

Brad Boyes (2013-2015)- Our former shootout artist was bought out and went to Toronto. He is currently a Free Agent and there are no rumors on where he will end up.

Tomas Fleischmann (2011-February 2015)- Poor Tomas Fleischmann has lived in four cities and played there for the past two years: He has played in Florida, Anaheim, Montreal and Chicago. He did well in 2011-12 but then fizzled out. No rumors on where he will end up.
