YANDLE ACQUIRED

The Panthers have acquired negotiating rights to Keith Yandle in exchange for a 2016 6th round pick and a conditional 2017 4th round pick if Yandle signs with us. We got a steal here.

McCOSHEN SIGNED

The Panthers have signed an ELC with their 31st overall pick in 2013 Defenseman Ian McCoshen. He attended Boston College last year.

BARKOV, JAGR, GALLANT TO REPRESENT CATS AT NHL AWARDS

The Panthers have Aleksander Barkov (Lady Byng), Jaromir Jagr (Bill Masterson) and Gerard Gallant (Jack Adams) for NHL Awards. The Lady Byng Trophy is for sportsmanship. Brian Campbell won it with the Cats back in 2011-12 and Jiri Hudler won it in 2014-15. The Jack Adams Award is for Best Coach. No Panther has ever won it before. Jagr could also become the first Panther to win in his award category. Jagr is the favorite out of the 3 to win in any of those categories. Aaron Ekblad won the Calder Award for Rookie of the Year last year. Barkov is up against Anze Kopitar (LA) and Loui Eriksson (BOS); Jagr is up against Mats Zuccarello (NYR) and Pascal Dupuis (PIT) while Gallant will face Lindy Ruff (DAL) and Barry Trotz (WSH).
