2020-21 Panthers MVP: Aleksander Barkov

Continuing my annual tradition, it is time to name the MVP of the Florida Panthers 2020-21 season. Winning the award for the 3rd time in his career and having won three of the last four Panther MVP awards, Aleksander Barkov is this year’s recipient of the prize. Barkov played in 50 games this season, scoring a team leading 26 goals, along with 32 assists which got him 58 points, finishing 2nd on the team behind Jonathan Huberdeau. Barkov’s excellent play this season was apparent on nearly every shift, as his strong defensive game got him a nod for the Selke Trophy for the first time in his career. Jonathan Huberdeau and Mackenzie Weegar serve as the runner ups this season.
