Star Players
John Gibson (G)- Gibson is the heart and soul of the Ducks. Gibson has held this team together and is in my opinion one of the top 5 goalies in the league. Gibson can easily steal several games for the Ducks, however the Ducks must provide support for him as evidenced by their collapse last year.
Additions
Nicolas Deslauriers- Acquired from the Canadiens, Deslauriers was not good for the Habs last year only putting up 5 points in 48 games.
Anthony Stolarz- UFA. Stolarz is a solid AHL starter who can help in the bigs if needed.
Andreas Martinsen- UFA. Martinsen will be a guy who will likely either provide depth or play in the minors.
Michael Del Zotto- UFA. Del Zotto is the Ducks best acquisition and will provide some support on the blueline.
Departures
Corey Perry- The former Hart Trophy winner was bought out after injuries have hurt him recently. He signed with Dallas.
Kevin Roy- Became a UFA. Signed a deal with Florida.
Andrej Sustr- UFA. Left for Europe.

My Prediction for the Ducks: The Ducks are entering a rebuild. They have a nice solid forward prospect core that they have picked up but they need to shed the awful contracts they have. If John Gibson plays out of his mind, there is a tiny chance the Ducks could make the playoffs but I don’t see it happening.
