John Tavares signed a 7 year $77 million contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs. So with Yzerman not being able to pull a rabbit from the hat to sign Tavares what’s the next move for the Bolts going forward? I believe that with McDonough and Miller resigned we should take care of our own boys and resign Kucherov to keep together the core of this team that went on a nice playoff run.
A difficult part of this is now having to deal with John Tavares in our division after such a difficult race in the division with Toronto. Even though they lost James van Riemsdyk, Tavares really could put Toronto over Tampa if you look at the teams on paper and from a production standpoint so maybe another star like James Neal possibly is something Steve Yzerman should look into to really become a championship team even though we are contenders we could really be a lock to win the championship with another guy like James Neal or the most likely scenario in Erik Karlsson to bump up a defense that definently could use some help could really help this Tampa team.
