Oilers Scope: The Oilers have lost their last 2 games. They are 5-4-1 in their last 10. They looked to be on the rise last year. However Cam Talbot and Leon Dratsial have fallen back to Earth. That leaves McDavid to carry this team. However I was wrong. I thought McDavid could carry the Oilers. However, that isn’t their problem. They have lackluster goaltending and other issues.
Panthers Scope: The Panthers are 9-1-1 in their last 11 games. Coming off a 3-0 win against Boston, the Panthers have an opportunity to continue pushing for the wildcard spot. The only changes in the lineup should see Roberto Luongo in net and Michael Haley in to handle guys like Milan Lucic. Alex Petrovic will return to the lineup after missing Thursday’s game with a lower-body injury.
