Montreal completes the comeback: Dec 29, 2016: Montreal 3, Florida 2 OT

The Florida Panthers continued their struggles Thursday night with a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens. The Canadiens tied the game at 2 with a Brandon Gallagher goal with 2:37 left in the 3rd period. This was a well deserved win for Montreal who dominated most of the game. James Reimer made 37 saves. Danault got the overtime winner. Jason Demers’s 7th goal tied a career high for most goals he scored in a season which he set with Dallas last year. Demers also tied Aaron Ekblad for the defenseman leading goal scorers on Florida. Vincent Trocheck got his 10th goal.
