Whatever you want to call Derek MacKenzie D-Mac or Captain Courageous or just Derek MacKenzie you should know he is coming back to South Florida for 3 more years. D-Mac had 6 goals, 7 assists in 64 games this year. He has played for Atlanta, Columbus and Florida throughout his long tenure. He signed a 2 year $1.375M extension. He still has 1 more year left on his 3 year $1.3M contract. He is underrated and the best 4th liner in the NHL in my opinion. He might be a captain due to his great leadership. I met him at Hockeyfest and he was nice. All I know is next time I go to McDonalds I will order a D-Mac instead of a Big Mac.
