Panthers sign Keith Yandle

On Monday, the Panthers made a blockbuster move in ripping off the New York Rangers getting negotiating rights to Keith Yandle in exchange for a 2016 6th rounder and a 2017 4th rounder. Very early Thursday morning, news broke that Yandle had signed a 7 year $6.35 Million a year contract with the Cats. Yandle is an instant help to our power play and is going to be the offensive defenseman. It is very unlikely however that Brian Campbell will suit up for another game as a Florida Panther. With Aaron Ekblad about ready to bloom into a great offensive defender, a pair of Yandle and Ekblad will be boss. Here are Yandle’s career stats:

661 Games, 72 Goals, 297 Assists, 369 Points

I think he will be very valuable and help Ekblad get to a 20 goal season. I think Yandle is a valuable player. I’m excited for him to help lead this team to a Stanley Cup.
