I hate the movie and I hate the real life iteration of it. Welcome to Groundhog Day the story of the Florida Panthers. Mirred in incompetence, inconsistency and just not a desire to win. This team has all the talent in the world. But they don’t want to win. Stars coasting games. Underperforming players. Welcome to hell. This team is never going to do anything. Q won’t change anything. No playoffs are coming to South Florida. Jonathan Huberdeau and Aleksander Barkov need to start playing at their elite level every 82 games. Vincent Trocheck must get his act together. The defense must actually defend instead of leaving Bobrovsky out to dry. Hoffman, Vatrano and Dadonov need to stop disappearing. Management needs to play actual talent over Tonianto, Matheson, Brown, Boyle and Pysyk. But they won’t. Because they don’t care. The Panthers are a bottomless money pit with no heart. No love. No care. The only people who care are the few diehard fans. The only effort seen this year has been from Chris Drediger, Sergei Bobrovsky (in December), Brett Conolly, Noel Acciari and Aaron Ekblad. South Florida deserves better than this. Jonathan Huberdeau, Aleksander Barkov, Evengii Dadonov, Frank Vatrano, Vincent Trocheck, Mike Hoffman, Brian Boyle, Dominic Tonianto, Colton Sceviour, Denis Malgin, Keith Yandle, Mackenzie Weegar, Anton Stralman, Josh Brown, Mark Pysyk, Mike Matheson, Derek Mackenzie, Rob Tallas, Joel Quenneville, Mike Kitchen, Andrew Brunette, Dale Tallon and everyone else in the organization, save for the players whose effort I commended, should be ashamed of themselves. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. You guys have fooled me thrice now. I hate being fooled.
