Florida Panthers Part Ways with Bob Boughner and Jack Capuano, Paul McFarland named Interim Coach


The Florida Panthers have mutually parted ways with Head Coach Bob Boughner and Associate Coach Jack Capuano Panthers President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Dale Tallon announced Friday night following a 4-3 loss to Calgary. “We would like to thank Bob and Jack for all their hard work and their important contributions to this team in the past couple of years, however it is unacceptable how the Panthers have underachieved this year and changes must be made.”

Assistant Coach Paul McFarland will take over as Interim Head Coach. Goaltending Coach Rob Tallas has been promoted to Assistant Coach as well as keeping his duties as goaltending coach. Assistant Coach of Video Ben Cooper will also take on the responsibilites of assistant coach.

The Panthers come home Friday January 18th to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
